~If I die young, bury me in satin. Lay me down on a bed of roses.
Sink me in the river, at dawn.
Send me away with the words of a love song.~
The very first time I heard this song was when I heard about a cute little girl.
My sister, Dani's friend, Krissy's daughter passed away during Easter weekend {I believe..}.
She was 18 months.
She ended her life on this earth in her favorite place, the water.
My mom and I were in the grocery store when Dani called.
I couldn't hear anything she was saying, but my mom's face just showed that something terrible had happened.
After we got in the car my mom told me.
My heart dropped. I didn't even know this girl. Dani introduced me to Krissy and Jayci at Deja's blessing...but that is all the interaction we had.
It was devastating to me.
My stomach ached the rest of the night.
I later hung out with my friends. They could tell something was buggin' me...and as I told them I cried. I cried and cried. We were at the park and as we swung on the swings I just bawled.
Finally, I was able to tell them the whole story and yet their eyes started to water.
I just still cannot believe this..
I wish I knew Krissy and Jayci.
But I feel like through reading her blog I do know her.
Her blog is truly amazing.
Her words. How she types it all together. How she stays so strong and is willing to share this sacred tragedy with the world.
She is an inspiring woman.
I wish I could tell the story as well as she does.
I wish I didn't have to bawl every time I read her sincere blog posts.
Take time to read there amazing blog and story.
It will truly make you grateful for the little kiddies you have in your arms.
"Love your babies. Hold them close tonight, because others are relying on our Heavenly Father to do so. Memorize their faces and their laughs. Breathe in their scent and smooth your hand over their cheeks. You need their grace to realize your own."
